WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will not be allowed safe passage out of the UK, Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Thursday after Ecuadorian government granted Assange political asylum.

Assange has been taking refuge in its London embassy since June where he is seeking asylum to avoid extradition to Sweden on allegations of rape, fearing Stockholm will turn him over to the United States. Since taking refuge in the embassy a warrant has been issued for his arrest for breaching his bail conditions.
