Grebeg Aksara commemorates 106 years of all-out war against colonials

Grebeg Aksara this year was held on the 20th September 2012, to coincide with the commemoration of 106 years of all-out war against the invaders. The ceremony centered on the zero point of Denpasar city, around the Catur Muka sculpture.
Grebeg Aksara is an annual ritual to invoke the safety and peace on earth that have been implemented since 2000.
For this year's event was held in a series of 106-year memorial all-out war work along naughty people against the Dutch colonialists. Dozens of officials and leaders, as well as hundreds of spectators were present at the event which began with a few dance performances barong, pendet dayung, colosal dance. Moreover sacred mask of Gajah Mada from Blahbatuh, Gianyar also performed
