The case of the bus driver from Olomouc, Czech Republic, Roman Smetana, who for the parliamentary elections in 2010 drew political candidates on posters inspired antennae citizens these days a number of cities in the Czech Republic to grant the same.
Roman Smetana had some parties sue for damage to property and wanted to replace damaged posters. Court eventually sentenced driver to a fine and community service. The financial penalty paid driver, but public works refused to do so had to get in prison.
This fact probably inspired more people to politicians at election posters paint the antennae. And so the antennae appeared on posters not only in Olomouc where Roman Smetana came from, but also over in Brno.
The first round of elections to the Senate and the elections to the regional councils will be held 12 to 13 September 2012.
