The south east of England is witnessing the highest snowfall it has seen in 18 years. Many people commute from this green county into the lugubrious city, but today the majority stayed at home, got stuck on transport or were turned away from work. Severe delays on the overground, bus and underground routes set many commuters back who form a massive proportion of the working population of London. The BBC reported that the economy lost around £1 billion due to 6.4 million workers' absence from work. This said, one cannot help but feel that many have relished taking an unforeseen break from the stressful world of work.
