'One & Other' Final day at Trafalgar Square

Antony Gormley's “One & Other" project wrapped up today after 2,400 people occupied the forth plinth in London's Trafalgar Square for one hour each starting on July 6th 2009. UK, London, 10/14/2009.

The last 'Plinther', Emma Burns from Darlington, highlighted the Hillsborough Disaster which occurred on 15 April 1989 resulting in the deaths of 96 people during an FA Cup semi-final tie between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough the home of Sheffield Wednesday F.C. in Sheffield, England.

She read out the names of all those that had died, all fans of Liverpool F.C., and released a red balloon for each one.

Also on hand was Jenny England, 28, (pictured holding red banner) said she come to support Emma Burns to help keep the Hillsborough Disaster in the puble eye.

Antony Gormley (pictured with painting) along with past Plinthers gathered in Trafalgar Square to congratulate each other and see the end of the project at 0900BST.

Minutes after the last Plinther returned to the ground the safety netting was removed.

Artichoke, an Arts Council regularly funded organisation, produced the event as part of the 2009 Sky Arts Artichoke Season.
