Dalai Lama gives a talk at the request Taiwanese Buddhists

A four-day lecture session by the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama began in Dharamsala, on Thursday.

Thousands of people including Buddhist monks, nuns, foreigners and Tibetans assembled at the Tsuglagkhang temple to listen to the preachings.

In his inaugural session, the Dalai Lama highlighted the basic principles of Buddhism and spoke about love, peace and compassion.

His Holiness taught on the Diamond Sutra (dorjee chotpa), Geshe Chekewa's seven point-mind training (lojong dhondunma) & Tsongkhapa's the three principal paths (lamtso namsum) at the request of Taiwanese devotees at the main Tibetan temple. On the last day, he will confer the Avalokiteshvera Initiation (chenresig wang).
