Chris: Demotix as a whole is doing a fantastic job of showing and sharing what's happening in Gaza and Israel today. And that's because we have a small group of fantastic and committed photojournalists covering all sides of the story. Nir is at the top of that list. So let's let them get on with their work.

And Nir: No way is it OK to swear at anybody anywhere. Punto. However angry you are. You're doing your job, and doing it, as ever, splendidly. Your images do 10x the work your comments would.

At my age I am not going back to the region. Last time I and my family members were out there none of us were photographers.

I don't use wikipeadia and yes, in the past I have presented lectures on the region. I think a report of mine is still in the Royal Geographical Society Library.
