Elderly man promises to set himself on fire over frozen funds - Greece
Police in northern Greece have evacuated state-owned bank, Thessaloniki's Deposits and Loans Fund, after an elderly man carrying a weapon threatened to set himself on fire over a dispute on frozen funds.
A thriller is took place in Thessaloniki, with an elderly man to have taken hostage the director of Loan and Consignment Fund.
According to reports, the well-dressed man, 72, entered the office of the director, purred gazoline on the floor and threatened to set himself on fire. The man allegedly claims money from the Fund.
