We were invited by the Central COmmunist party to give them a day's lecture about Middle East politics. If I remember rightly, Osama didn't like the guy from Shanghai at all - Osama was right - and there was almost a serious argument.

He is Dr. Usama El-Ghazali Harb the head of El-Gabha party after his resignation from the National Democratic party. He was also editor-in-chief of the quarterly Al-Siyassa Al-Dawlia (International Politics), issued by Al-Ahram, and member of the Shura Council.

Who is the man talking into the al-Jazeera microphone? He used to run a think tank in Egypt, no? I've been on the same academic panel as him in China - the two of us, with 5 other people - were invited by the Communist Party to lecture on Middle East politics.
