Two men were stabbed near Reagent Street, London, during a mass street fight. One police officer at the scene described 'hundreds of people brawling' in Kingly Street where the two men received knife wounds.
Kingly Street was cordoned off to the public whilst scenes of crime officers photographed and recorded evidence along the street. Yellow evidence markers could be seen identifying several broken bottles and items on the litter-strewn street.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said:
"Police called at approx. 03.20hrs on Saturday, 24 November to Regents Street, W1 to reports of two men stabbed.
"Police and London Ambulance Service attended. Both men were taken to hospital for treatment. Neither victims injuries are thought to be life threatening.
"Officers believe the men were stabbed in nearby Kingly Street.
"There have been no arrests and enquiries continue."
Regent Street is today (24/11/2012) closed to traffic as the area is pedestrianised to encourage shoppers in to the West End.
