Sudan national soccer side the Antelopes made a debut on an international scene in the CECAFA (Confederation of East and Central Africa Football Association) Tusker Cup against Africa Cup of Nations finalists Ethiopia. The new East African nation put up a solid performance bowing down 1-0 at Mandela national stadium in Kampala, Uganda. This is the second engagement for South Sudan who held neighboring Uganda 2-2 at home in Juba in an international friendly tie on July 11, 2012. Sudan and Ethiopia is pooled in group A alongside Uganda and Kenya in the regional soccer championship that runs up to December 8.
