2009 Chheenj Fair of Wrestling in Himachal Pradesh

The Indian festival of Chhenj , celebrated annually at a village near Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, were wrestlers (Pehelwan) from the northern part of India participate for the cash prize of twenty five thousand. Shimla, India. 10/04/2009.

Chheenj is celebrated in the memory of a local pehelwan from Fagu village. People from around the area gather around a naturally made rink of soil to see the fights.
