Transacting to survive in Rwanda

This shot is taken in Rhuengeri Northern Rwanda. In the foreground is a wallet being held by a white aid worker. He is buying the basket being held by the Rwandan woman in the middle of the shot. All eyes are on the transaction. Transactions such as these represent life and death in Central Africa. Whilst the shot captures a positive moment, it is impossible to ignore tension, the need and the hope.
