Sindh Police hold press conference following the successful arrest of prominent terrorists suspected of plotting major terrorist attacks in Karachi. Karachi, Pakistan. 12/11/2009.
Police were informed by intelligence that several terrorists with connections to Tehreek e Taliban (Hakeem Ullah Mehsood Group) had gathered in Gulistan e Johar and were planning terrorist attacks. Based on this information, Sindh Police took action and squadroned off the area of Goth Qalandarabad block 10 Gulistan e Johar near Zehra Masjid Karachi.
During the action, the terrorists fired at the police. After a couple of hours, police overcame the terrorists. They recovered heavy ammunition stashes and arrested seven major terrorists who had been planning brutal terrorist attacks in prominent parts of Karachi.
