Countdown to Shanghai World Expo 2010: 170 days

World Expo 2010 will open in Shanghai on May 1st 2010 with the theme: "Better City – Better Life". Shanghai, China. 11/11/2009.

The Exposition site is located in the Nanpu Bridge-Lupu Bridge region along both sides of the Huangpu River. The area of the Expo 2010 covers 5.28 km².

Apart from the Expo itself, the whole city is being given a facelift as Shanghai is expected to attract more that 70 million visitors from China and around the world. All construction for the Expo is due to be completed by the end of March. With 170 days left until the Expo opens its doors, the city of Shanghai is preparing for the final push to welcome Expo visitors in May 2010.
