Shahbagh protesters have called upon their countrymen to observe a three-minute silence from 4:00pm to press home their demands for the death penalty for war criminals.

People have been urged to halt all their activities and stand in silence wherever they would be at the moment to show solidarity with the demonstrators.
The demonstrators under the banner of 'Bloggers and Online Activist Network' started the protest on February 5 hours after Jamaat assistant secretary general Abdul Quader Mollah was sentenced to life in prison for war crimes.
Like other days, tens of thousands of people converged on the capital's Shahbagh intersection and continued their sit-in as enthusiastically as before for the seventh straight day.
People from all walks of life irrespective of age, sex and class have thronged wholeheartedly to express solidarity with the protesters at the venue, which has come to be known as "Projonmo Chottor"
