Thailand has broken the Guinness World Record for the most people hula-hooping simultaneously in one place. The new record set up saw 4,483 hula-hoopers dancing during at least seven minutes without interruption.
Nearly 5000 students (ages from 7 to 18 years old) from schools and colleges from Bangkok and Pathum Thani province and members from the Public Health Ministry’s Department of Health have broken the Guinness World Record of most people hula-hooping simultaneously. The event, organized by the Public Health Ministry’s Department of Health, took place at an open air stadium at Thammasat University.
The previous Guinness World Record was set in Taiwan in 2010, when 2,496 participants swung hula hoops in a continuous motion for two minutes. The new Guinness World Record set up in 4483 hula-hoopers dancing during at least seven minutes without interruption.
Miss Seyda Subasi Gemici, adjudicator from Guinness World Record Organization, has supervised the event. Mr Chonlanan Srikaew, Deputy of the Public Health Ministry’s Department of Health, received the Certificate of Guinness World Record achievement.
