Demonstration in Madrid for the freedom of the Saharawi people

Thousands of people protested in Madrid to condemn the human rights violations of the Moroccan government against the Saharaui people. They protesters requested the Spanish government to fulfill its responsabilities and pleaded for a free and independent Sahara. Madrid, Spain, 13.11.2009

Hace 34 años España cedía el territorio del Sahara Occidental a Marruecos y Mauritania,durante este tiempo el pueblo Saharaui ha tenido que hacer frente a la guerra y al intento de exterminio por parte del régimen alauí.
Por este motivo se han manifestado hoy en Madrid miles de personas,para denunciar la permanente violación de los derechos humanos por parte del gobierno Marroquí y para que el gobierno Español asuma su responsabilidad,exigiendo un Sahara libre e independiente.
