March for Non-violence against Women

Colombians took to the streets to demonstrate for human rights, protest against violence towards women, and call for the end of the war with Venezuela. Bogota, Colombia. 25/11/2009.

Today the 25th of November Colombians went out to the street to demostrate for the Woman Rights in Colombia. There where thousands of woman demonstrating and asking for Peace, to end the war with Venezuela, NO to the US bases on Colombian soil and also telling this government to come to the table and have talks with the guerrilla to solve the future of all the people been held by the FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia). One of the most important figures of Colombia where at the head of the march, Piedad Cordoba which for some it's a National Heroe, because of all the works she's been doing to persuade the colombian government and the FARC to end the conflict, specially the people held by them.

Colombia también se unio hoy 25 de noviembre a la marcha que defiende los derechos de todas las mujeres en el mundo,salieron miles de personas a recordarle a la sociedad que no se debe permitir la agresión y las violencia física, psicológica, social y cultural de las mujeres. El NO a la guerra fue uno de los bastiones importantes de esta marcha, todos los sectores y organizaciones femeninistas hicieron un llamado contundente al gobierno actual del Sr. Uribe para que desisita de las bases americanas, la guerra interna y externa, como tambien obligarlo a que se siente a la mesa para hayar una solucion inmediata al problema de los secuestrados en Colombia.
