The legacy of the industrial revolution, considered by many to be the source of the current climatic changes, began over 200 years ago. These pictures from Poland and Austria show that legacy as it exists now, more or less ruined as we have moved toward the information age and service economy. Yet, as these pictures prove, the responsibility for climate change started in the West, and China and other major polluters today only continue in our well trodden footsteps.
