Al-Hijra Youth March

A march by Islamic youths along the main roads of Pontianak, West Kalimantan, to celebrate the Islamic New Year, ending with a closing prayer at the "Monument of Struggle" near the Tanjung Pura State University, the oldest university in West Kalimantan. Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. 18/12/2009.

Islamic Youth in Pontianak marched through the main roads of the city to celebrate the Islamic New Year. Around 200 people joined the procession chanting prayers as participants enter and left the crowds. The march was ended with the committee conducted the closing prayer at the "Monument of Struggle" near the Tanjung Pura State University, the oldest university in West Kalimantan.
