Break the siege of Gaza - End the occupation
Over 600 protesters marched in Sydney to mark the 1st anniversary of the Israel's attack on Gaza. Protesters demanded to "break the siege - end the occupation". Today Gaza is under siege. Many consider that Israel is imposing a collective punishment on 1.5 million Palestinians of Gaza who are unable to rebuild their homes, schools and hospitals destroyed by Israel's bombing one year ago. Israel's blockade prevents the import of construction material. Human Rights Watch has called the siege of Gaza "serious violation of international law". Australia, Gaza, 27/12/2009
