Viva Palestina Aid Convoy Aqaba, Jordan

Media Summary

Viva Palestina Volunteers take a ride accross the waters of Aqaba to geta closer look at Israel.
in Politics, on the 27th of December 2009
Some volunteers took a boat ride out from Aqaba beach from where Israel is a short distance away. The reason why they went out was because they heard unusual sounds from accross the waters resembling bombing, the locals around the beech of Aqaba told them that this was unusual so the Viva palestina volunteers decided to investigate. As they were a few hundred meters away from the dividing line a Jordanian police boat rammed into the boat the volunteers were travelling in in a bid to stop them from going any further. Thankfully no one was injured and they all returned to the shore safe and sound. The only loss was the boatmen's ladder which was used to load and unload passengers on the boat, the Viva Palestina volunteers volunteered to pay for the cost of the ladder but the boat owner insisted they didn't.
