KOTA BARU: A tyre shop and a motor workshop specialize in repairing mini cars was blaze down in a fire at Chabang Tiga,Pengkalan Chepa,Kota Bharu,Kelantan,Malaysia, losses estimated at RM700,000.00
According to Pengkalan Chepa Fire and Resque Department, Shukri Ismail, he received emergency call about 5.00 pm and rushed there with two engine from Kota Bharu and one from Pengakalan Chepa with 20 officers and 11 memers of Bomba Support Team (Voluntere group)
The department managed to control the fire within 30 minutes upon arrival at the scene.
A son-in-law of the workshop's owner, Mohd Zulfadly Abd Aziz, 22, who suffered cuts on his right hand trying to break glasses to enter the shop said he was at his home about 3 kilometre away from the shop when his was informed about the fire.
"I sped to the scene with my brother-in-law and saw the fire has started spreading to our workshop. I tried to break the glass window and suffered slight cuts.
Tyre shop owner, Ajihanudin Abdul Manan,38, said he was in town when he received call about his tyre shop.
"I just bought alignment machine plus hundreds of new tyres inside the shop" he said.
