Today’s event in Madrid was one of those planned in 42 cities in 15 countries. Barcelona was also one of the Spanish cities that was supposed to have a similar scene.

The Madrid group took the metro, at 4:30pm, from Nuevos Ministerios to Plaza de España, then changed to line three to Puerta de Sol and then line four to Bilboa where the press left the group.

On one of the trains the group met some Irish young men, and their female friends, and as you can see they were very willing to join the cause of chaos and joy.

However, there was more joy amongst the travelling public, the group and journalists although there was a bit of chaos amongst the journalist who practically out numbered the jolly group.

Improv Everywhere was created in 2001, in New York by Charlie Todd.

A group of young people this afternoon, 10 January 2010, took part on Metro Madrid in a world wide event 'No Pants Subway Ride 2010' which was organised by the New York group Improv Everywhere. According to the group’s website their mission is to cause “scenes of chaos and joy in public places.”
