Southern India was among one of the best locations to view today's eclipse of the sun, the longest solar eclipse of this century. These images were taken in Kozhikode just before mid-day. Kozhikode, India. 15/01/2010. South India is among the locations where the longest solar eclipse of the century, on Friday, will be most visible. In Kozhikode city of Kerala, formerly known as Calicut, the eclipse will be visible around 90 per cent. The flame of fire will be more pronounced around the southern tip of the subcontinent. These images are from the earlier part of the eclipse around 12 noon.
