One person has died after Kenyan police fired live rounds at a protest opposing the detention of Muslim cleric, Abdullah al-Faisal.

One person has died after Kenyan police fired live rounds at a protest opposing the detention of Muslim cleric, Abdullah al-Faisal.

Police also used tear gas and water cannons to try to break up the protests, which started after hundreds of Muslims attending prayers at the Jamia Mosque defied police orders and went ahead with the planned march against al-Faisal's detention.
