Chelsea 3 - Birmingham 0
Chelsea beat Birmingham last night at Stamford Bridge, taking them top of Britain's Premier League.
Florent Malouda scored first with an early header, crossed in from the right by Joe Cole, and Frank Lampard got the second before half-time, with a low shot in the left-hand corner of the net.
Chelsea dominated throughout, though Birmingham rallied in the early part of the second half.
The last goal came, once more, from Frank Lampard in the 90th minute, coming onto a pass from Malouda.
With Arsenal failing to beat Aston Villa, the result brings Chelsea to the top of the table, with a game in hand against Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur - their closest rivals.
The game had personal significance for me as it was my son's first experience of a football match. He loved it.

Ha!
I only just got a half-way decent camera (D50). Still embarrassed to walk around with it. 'all the gear, no idea' principle. But give me a while and I'll improve.
Did you see the new uploader? the whole process might, one day, not have to involve finger0nail pulling...
Someone should do a story on why, when Chelsea play at the Bridge, I can't get a park for my car (Parking Permit) and have to park a 20 minute walk from home.. Honest1 :-) ...And so now, Turi, I know who was taking up all those spots ...;-) YOU!
I hear each goal through my bathroom window! It's quite awesome.

Bwa ha haaaa... No seriously, it's one of the good parts of living in Earls Ct (There ain't no Aussies left - except me) I love it... and I shouldn't even have a car! ...Turi! Great camera, look forward to seeing more shots!
