Dr Bernards Jewish Pet Cemetery

Israeli Veterinarian Dr.Bernard Horwitz lives in Moshav Yanuv near Netanya Israel where he runs his Animal Farm,Clinic and Jewish Pet Cemetery,why Jewish you ask ? "well other than being in the Jewish land of Israel i don`t bury Animals on the Jewish Sabbath and my family observes the rest day aswell".
The Dr`s unique farmhouse is home to many exotic animals some like the red Falcon that was rescued from someones house and others like the nine Turtlles , Racoon and Boa Constrictor that where all given to him by folks that could no longer look after the wild animals they have made into pets and that where most likely to have been smuggled into the country ileagally.
Dr Bernard runs his clinic in his backyard where he has operating rooms and recovery areas for his patients the ones that come in to old or sick and don`t make it out alive can be laid to rest in his Pet Cemetery behind the clinic many pet owners choose to bury their loved cat or dog and some even erect a proper Tombstone with photos or carved out animal shapes.The Drs love for animals is passed around all the visitors on his farm when i was there friday there was ayoung woman that was snake phobic all her life and Dr Bernard managed to calm her down slowly and put a two meter Boa Constrictor around her neck,the terrified look on her face slowly changed to a proud feeling of accomplishment.
While treating Pets in his clinic he allows children to help him in the procdures and teach them to treat animals kindly.
It`s allways heartwarming for me to be reporting from this region about well treated animals and not about people that behave like ones.
