Anti Capitalist Demonstration in Madrid

An anti capitalist demonstration organised by the Foro Social Mundial to conclude the workshop part of the forum. The forum involved about 79 workshops and meetings to discuss issues such as banking, the economy, feminism, global warming, famine and abortion. Madrid, Spain. 30/01/2010.

The results of these workshops were then presented during the general assembly on Sunday.

During the weekend plans were also put forward and discussed to organise street action during the coming months and especially during the various ministerial and nation meetings that are going to be held as part of the Spanish presidency of the European Union.

High on the agenda are demonstrations during the American-European Summit that will be held in May when the US President, Barack Obama will visit Spain.

The demonstration started from 21 Calle del Pez and finished in Puerta del Sol.
