Grassroots rally at the Hilton Hotel in O'Fallon, for Illinois governor candidate Adam Andrzejewski ahead of the Illinois state primaries on February 2nd 2010. O'Fallon, Illinois. 31/01/2010.
The grassroots effort experienced during the Scott Brown election in Massachusetts has caused some to say that what the Republicans need to reclaim Washington in 2010 is to have a number of Scott Brown's throughout the country. Meaning, with Scott Brown's election, people from all over the U.S. have taken their hard working money, which is especially true in this economy, and donated it to the Scott Brown campaign whether they lived in Massachusetts or not. They did this because they believe in a less corrupt and more limited and accountable government. Well, one name that can be added to that very short list is Adam Andrzejewski who is running in the Illinois state primaries for governor. Though some other Republican candidates in Illinois have tried to give lip service to the Tea Parties in order to connect themselves with them, Andrzejewski is the only one that comes to the governor's race with, as he put it, "no political baggage."
I had the chance to attend one of his campaign rallies in O'Fallon, Illinois at the Hilton on Sunday, Jan. 31st and I must say I was greatly impressed by his candor and energy in facing the over spending and corruption that clearly infects the state of Illinois. I was a bit apprehensive when I heard him say he would not raise taxes for the state of Illinois, especially since many of us remember words like those coming from Bush #41. However, considering the monumental over spending that exists in the former home of President Obama, along with the potential money that could be raised by a great deal of spending cuts, I believe Andrzejewski could actually do it. With his school district accountability program which posted the check registers online of over $1 billion detailing the spending of taxpayer money, he definitely seems like the right man for the job...and so do many others.
I spoke with John Hagen from Andrzejewski's campaign and he said that an easy majority of Adam Andrzejewski campaign contributions come from donations under $5,000 from all across the country. Remind you of another campaign? John also continued to inform me that many people throughout the state of Illinois have also bought ad space in their own local newspapers to show their support as a way to donate to the campaign. In addition, many Illinoisans have organized their own mass mailings to get the word out about Adam Andrzejewski.
One person who I credit to informing me of the Andrzejewski energy is St. Louis Tea Party co-founder Bill Hennessey. He has a number of fantastic and informative posts on the growing success and energy of the 'Adam Bomb' about to hit Illinois.
For example, as Bill has put it, "Adam's numbers have soared just in the last 24 hours."
The Andrzejewski campaign has also not let technology and the use of the internet pass them by with a number of video clips which I have found on Youtube. I found a number of clips from his commercials, debates, press questions, Tea Party involvements, and my favorite the "There is a Tax For That" campaign ad.

Illinois state primaries are coming up fast, Tuesday, Feb. 2nd so I invite you to take a hard look at all the candidates as well as Adam Andrzejewski. It is clear that the Obama Administration and other politicians can't seem to wake up from their Tax & Spend slumber, maybe it will take an "Adam Bomb."
