Quadruplets safely delivered by caesarian section in Zambia

A 33-year-old woman from Musmali village in Mansa has given birth to quadruplets, one boy and 3 girls. The father of the babies, Emmanuel Semba 38, Dr. Kasongo Irung, also performed the caesarean section at Mansa General Hospital. Zambia, Africa. 02/02/2010.

The Zambiz Government has donated several assorted baby clothes and Groceries to the mother of the quadruplets at Mansa General Hospital.

Mansa District Commissioner Chibwe Nsakasha made the donation in Mansa yesterday.

The District Commissioner said it was in Government’s interest to render help in times of need in order to lessen the burden of its citizens in instants of need.

And receiving the contributions on behalf of the family Mansa General Hospital Medical Superintendent, Dr. Francis Bwalya commended Government for the good gesture.

Dr. Bwalya said it would have been difficult for the couple to deal with four babies without support from Government and Hospital management.

The Medical Superintendent also disclosed that the four babies were the second sets of quadruplets Mansa general Hospital had recorded in the past two years. In 2008 another set quadruplets, two boys and two girls were born at Mansa General Hospital.

Meanwhile Dr Kasongo Irung who conducted the delivery of the quadruplets by Caesarean section said the babies were in good health.
