About 40 kilometres away from Tozeur, along an unpaved track (passing through high dunes) one can reach the desert city of Mos Espa - which in Star Wars is one of port cities on planet Tatooine. Tozeur, Tunisia. 08/02/2010.

All the film set - complete with (plastic) buildings - is still there for you to see. It's quite a sight in the middle of the desert - it really feels like you've landed on a different planet. Apart from the odd tourist or handicraft seller, you may come across the 'last Jedi', the guardian Amar. He lives in one of sets of the city and uses the others as kitchen.

Thanks, Federico. I really enjoyed this place. Amar is great. He just follows you to tell his story and to speak about George Lucas. But the magic moments were broken when arrived a group of tourists in about 10 4WD and invaded the Mos Espa. At that time I headed Tozeur with my friend Mohamed.
