On Valentine's Day at the Glide Memorial Church, a performance of Erika Chong Shuch's Love Everywhere marking the sixth anniversary of gay marriages in San Francisco was performed. San Francisco, USA. 14/02/2010.
Three days of Erika Chong Shuch's Love Everywhere concluded with performances on Valentine's Day at Glide Memorial Church's Celebrations at 9 and 11 am. The 11 am Sunday service had an overflow in the huge church which includes a balcony.
Rev Cecil Williams who founded Glide introduced the performance which included marriage vows from same sex couples. Before the dance, Glide's choir sang and images were projected including the poster Shepard Fairey created for marriage equality.
Dance performances also took place at City Hall on February 12 , the 6th anniversary of Mayor Gavin Newsom allowing same sex marriages, and throughout downtown San Francisco on February 13th.
It was commissioned by Dancers Group’s ONSITE Program.
