"Imagine Carine Roitfeld seen through the lens of Helmut Newton and you're somewhere close to Hannah Marshall's version of contemporary dressing."
- Sarah Mower (London Fashion Week 'Letter from London', September 2008)
At only 26, British designer Hannah Marshall’s ascent from fresh-faced fashion graduate, to internationally acclaimed young designer has been nothing short of meteoric. A rising star of the fashion firmament, Hannah Marshall has produced just four collections under her eponymous label, all have signaled the beginning of what is to become the reinvention of the Little Black Dress. Erin O’Connor recently loaned the infamous Trapeze Dress to Zandra Rhodes’ Fashion & Textile Museum in London for the prestigious Little Black Dress exhibition.
On 21 Feb 2009, designer Hannah Marshall showed her new collection in a static show in the Science Museum, London, as part of the On/Off season of off-schedule designers. The electro band Ipso Facto led support, dressed in Marshall's slinky little black dresses. All images are available as 21mp RAW files.
