Corporal Riley of 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment was killed in Helmand province Afghanistan on the 1st February this year by an Improvised Explosive Device while serving with the Coldstream Guards Battle Group. He had served with Prince Harry at the British Army Training Unit at Suffield in Canada.

After hearing of Liams death the Prince paid tribute to him saying “I remember Liam Riley so well from the time we spent serving together at the British Army Training Unit in Canada,”
