Football keeps kids off crime

The Triumph Football Academy on the Lagos Island in Lagos State is an academy for young footballers. Coach of the team Wale Orims says that playing football helps the kids in the crime-prone neighbourhood escape the dangers of the streets. "When they play football they will be too tired to go and cause trouble" Orim says.
So he tries to teach them not just physical fitness but psychology and motivation and also insists on his boys doing well at the studies in school.
Many of the kids say they want to become like their hero Obafemi Martins of Wolfsburg who grew up in the same neighbourhood but made good through the game.
The lads say that they would one day want to play at the World Cup even as Africa hosts its first ever Mundial this year.
