One of the increasing number of electric car recharging stations called an ‘Elektrobay’, created by Elektromotive Ltd. Based in Brighton and Hove, the company is dedicated to providing cutting edge technology for recharging electric vehicles. In 2008 the Elektrobay infrastructure was rolled out across 7 London Boroughs in 21 locations. Brighton, United Kingdom, 17/03/2010.
Managing Director of Elektromotive Ltd, Calvey Taylor-Haw said during an interview with The Sussex Innovation Centre in September last year that, “We have installed the Elektrobay in locations across the country, as well as in Europe and even Saudi Arabia, but this project is especially exciting for us as it is taking place in our home town.” Plans were made to instal 10 bays by the end of 2009 and a further 10 at the beginning of 2010 in Brighton and Hove. Once completed, this would put Brighton on the map as the UK’s most electric vehicle friendly city outside of London.
