Crowds prematurely block traffic in anticipation of seeing the Olympic torch bearer in North Vancouver. Local buses had to wait for more than 30 minutes in order to continue on route. Vancouver, Canada. 02/10/2010
Crowds left the sidewalk and blocked traffic in this North Vancouver street before traffic control officers arrived. Local buses had to pull to the side and wait out the parade in order to continue on their scheduled routes.
The street was supposed to be clear for another half hour but the crowds were not contained and filled the streets. Police had to clear the way before the parade and torch bearer could pass through.
