in Politics, on the 18th of March 2010
Protests in central London by the Indian workers association GB, outside the Indian High Commission in the Aldwych against the Indian government's actions against tribal peoples in India. London, UK. 18/03/2010.

Today in central London the Indian workers association GB led a small protest outside the Indian High Commission in the Aldwych near the offices of the BBC at Bush House. The protesters say that the Indian government has declared war against its own people. Apparently the Indian Government has deployed 150000 troops in India's central and asian states. In researching this I found an article in the newspaper the Hindu from february 2010 reporting on operation green hunt. Aman Sethi in this article wrote,'An operation is underway in Central India, but no one really knows what it is. Variously described as a media myth, a comprehensive hearts and minds strategy, and an all-out offensive by paramilitary forces and the state forces along the borders of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, Operation Green Hunt has become a shoebox of news clippings, police reports, public demonstrations and armed encounters.' The article is here,http://beta.thehindu.com/opinion/op-ed/article101706.ece. It is reported that the forests where the adivasis are concentrated have abundant mineral wealth (iron, coal, bauxite, manganese, corundum, gold, diamonds and uranium).
Is there a minimally reported conflict going on and if so why is there so little media attention.

India has experience in

India has experience in aiding and helping directly to Sri Lanka to kill its own citizens (30,000 Tamils) last year, now no hesitation to kill the people who fight for their land and rights. If you read Arundhadi Roy's articles regarding this you will find more shocking evil acts of Indian undemocratic government.
