Remembering the Ancestors day.

Come April 5th, most Chinese Malaysians will be heading off to their ancestral tombs for the “Qing Ming” festival or also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day.

"Qing Ming" is an annual festival that is celebrated by many Chinese Malaysians and also Chinese around the region, to honor their departed ancestors. Although the actual date for this year falls on April 5th, many have already begun visiting and tending the grave of the persons whom they once cared and loved. Food and drinks are normally placed on the altar as offerings, while burning incense, effigies and hell-currency are a common practice among the celebrants.
