Pope Benedict XVI celebrated the Via Crucis on Good Friday at the
Colosseum. Rome, Italy. 02/04/2010.

The Via Crucis celebration was broadcast worldwide vision and is a
focal point during the Easter celebrations. By Via Crucis is
commemorated the passion and death of Jesus Christ through the reading
of prayers along a path of 14 stations.
The Colosseum, in which the gladiators fought in ancient times, today
is the symbol of excellence for Christians from which begins the
ascent to Mount Calvary's cross.
