British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Chancellor Alistair Darling paid a flying visit to Sheffield. After getting off a train at Sheffield's Midland Railway Station around 3:30pm they made their way, surrounded by photographers, to the station coffee shop where he met the local Labour Party faithful and spent time speaking with journalists along side Alistair Darling and Labour candidate for Sheffield Central Paul Blomfield before climbing into a grey Jaguar to carry on campaigning for re-election. The flying visit lasted approximately 45 minutes. Tuesday 13 April 2010.
