Delhi, sweltering under unusually high temperatures, was lashed by a hail storm on April 19. The temperatures plummeted from 44 degrees Celsius to a pleasant 33 degrees after the 10-minute storm. The city had been under the grip of a severe heat wave for over a week with temperatures hovering around 43 degree Celcius, breaking a fifty-year record.
