Dalek Launch new Dr Who Game in Sheffield

Dr Who's Arch enemy the Daleks appeared at Sheffield’s railway station this morning, (Wednesday April 21) as part of the BBC's press event to launch the first episode of Doctor Who: The Adventure Games, available to download for PC and Mac from the official website from 5th of June. Saturdays episode of Dr Who which aired on BBC1 on 17th of April, revealed new bigger and better Daleks, three of which were despatched to Sheffield especially for the event. The three interacted with fans commuters and even three members of South Yorkshire Police who showed the Daleks maybe no match for community coppers by agreeing to pose with Dr's nemesis and even pretend they were arresting one.
The games have been developed by Sheffield based independent game development company Sumo Digital, who according to the BBC are “one of the UK's best game designers” also attending the launch was Sumo creative director and project chief, Sean Millard. His next stop was the Offices of Sumo digital where the games launch continued with invited guests getting a close look at the first game.
