Solemn Service Commemorates Australia’s Fallen Heroes

Australian dignitaries and members of the general public commemorated Australia’s fallen soldiers at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park.

Attending the service was the, His Excellency Mr. James Spigelman, the Lieutenant Governor of New South Wales who gave the “Commemoration of the Fallen.” The Honorable Kristine Keneally MP, Premier of New South Wales gave the “Commemoration Address,” and the “ANZAC Address” was given by the Most Reverend Dr. Peter Jensen, Archbishop of Sydney.

Air Vice Marshal Mark Skidmore AM offered the “Prayer of Thanks Giving.” Major General Craig Williams AM offered the “Prayer for the Queen.” And Fleet Commander Read Admiral Steve Gilmore AM CSC RAN offered the “Prayer for the Nation.”
