Every May day the choir of Magdalen College welcome in the day by singing from the top of the college tower at 6 am. Thousands of people from all over Oxford, including many who've been partying all night, turn up to listen in the area around Magdalen Bridge. The celebrations then take on a more chaotic nature with street performers, samba bands, singers and morris dancers taking over the streets for a few hours before the city returns to normal.
