DMTX. Around 6000 people marched to Trafalgar Square as part of the annual May Day demonstrations. Veteran politician and socialist Tony Benn, now aged 85, gave a speech at the end of the march. London, UK. 01/05/2010
Around 6000 people marched from Clerkenwell Green in front of Marx Memorial Library to Trafalgar Square. Presence of Turkish and Kurdish groups was more than rest of the participants. Veteran politician and socialist Tony Benn aged 85 made a speech at the end of the march. Few racist nazis tried to stir up tension but they were firmly shouted down by protesters chanting "Nazi scums off our streets".
