Dolores C. Huerta and singer Linda Ronstadt participated in a May 1st Coalition March Saturday morning, May 1, 2010 in Tucson, Ariz. Huerta co-founded the United Farm Workers of America with Cesar Chavez. About 7000 people participated in the May Day march for worker and immigration rights. The majority of the marchers were also protesting the recently passed and controversial Arizona state law SB-1070. Many opponents of the law believe the new law legalizes racial profiling. Similar May Day 2010 marches are planned across the United States.

Dan Guerrero, the son of well-known Chicano singer, songwriter and guitarist Lalo Guerrero, who died in 2005, also participated.
