Sierra Leone celebrated her 49th year of Independence .This year's anniversary was marked by the present rulling party declaring free health care for all pregnant women, mothers and children. Freetown, Sierra Leone. 27/04/2010.

Thousands of Sierra Leoneans were at the National Stadium to celebrate the 49th year of Independence.
The Military band and the three military wings were all at the parade, other security forces included the police,fire brigade and metropolitan police.

President Ernest Bai Koroma, Vice president Alhaji Sam Sumana, ministers of different ministeries, and civil servants also graced the celebration with their presence.
